<a href="#comment-493" rel="nofollow">@Manga Therapy </a>
I think my biggest problem with the ending was how quickly Miss Arakawa finished everything. You'd think that with such a buildup of various character's backstories and motivations that their endings will amount to more than just a few lines of dialogue over three panels per character. I definitely think the series could've benefited from one or two more chapters to round out the whole epilogue scenario.

As an example, Ling's bid for emperor was his primary motivation and in the final chapter he got a few lines of dialogue saying "I'll treat every house fairly" and they run off. Later it's mentioned over he radio he's become emperor and is signing peace treaties and whatnot with Amestris. All well and good, but I think it would've been really cool to see their return to Xing and Ling's ascent to the throne.

Same for almost all the other characters, IMO.

I liked the ending as a whole, but you brought up a really good point about Riza's circle. I think Arakawa was like "Oh hey, this circle on her back was basically a training circle for Roy". THE END. She should've explained it more.

Pride's reason for being wasn't stated probably because Arakawa wanted to highlight how he really didn't have as much "pride" as we thought, while everyone else had a lot of pride in what they did. I think she tried to make "pride" a huge theme in the series.

I actually wrote about how the series shows how pride can be beneficial in some ways. You can take a look at: http://www.mangatherapy.com/post/806561122/pridesymbolism-fma

How would you prefer it to end? Curious.

That's it. I'm getting this game. A game that tries to portray war seriously without the "fuck yeah" attitude, or the "baw I'm killing people" archtypes? I'm in. And fuck the media. Their god is ratings, and nothing else.
